We may all be humans but each of our body's are tuned to different specifications. This is the reason allergies exist. People feel differently to a wide variety of substances. And the trend appears to be that allergic reactions are more widespread among populations. Richmond dentist Fotolia_7169790_XS.jpg

There are people who are violently allergic to anything with peanuts in it. People can be allergic to seafood as well as drugs. This is why a doctor who is treating you would ask about your allergies when considering what medicines to hand out.

Doctors must know your medical history, for your own benefit. The reasoning behind taking drugs is to make you healthy again. But it could have the opposite effect.

In dentistry, it is also the case. I am always ensuring my drugs are allergy-free. I carefully select the medicines in the Richmond dental crown adhesives we put on you. I don't want you to get some sort of reaction.

When I am putting in your new dental crown, I will have to first cut away some material from your tooth. The reason we do this is to make it easier for the core of the dental crown to rest on the tooth. To make this happen, plenty of the hard outer layer of your tooth, the enamel, must be removed. After taking away enamel, your nerve root is open and vulnerable to changes in your environment, whether it is temperature or pressure.

This is why I use only the best and safest dental adhesives. A good characteristic of a Richmond dental crown adhesive is that it helps to protect the root nerve from sensitivity. In addition, the adhesive is not permanent. We can take it away without a problem when it is time to replace the dental crown.

The procedure to give you a dental crown requires, at a minimum, two appointments. We cannot install the crown until your tooth has been thoroughly prepared. We have to build a tiny cast of your tooth to use as a mold. From there, a protective crown is placed on your tooth. This is only a short-term solution. We will remove it when you make your second trip. On that day, we can give you your permanent crown. We will remove the temporary one and, with some super-strong cement, put in the real crown. Your new crown allows you to smile confidently and not worry about how you look.
