How Much Does a Dental Crown Cost in Richmond?

People around here who need a dental crown may be turned off by the perceived costs. Indeed, many folks haven't a clue about the price of dental crowns done in Richmond. Richmond dentist Fotolia_7103287_XS.jpg

When they see how much they must pay, they often ask why are some crowns very inexpensive, while others are so expensive?

Why on earth would there be such a range of prices?

Okay, I will give you an idea about the ingredients of a crown, which would make it clearer as to the reason prices differ so much.

You can even find pricing differences among the various Richmond dental clinics. The reason is simple. It comes down to development. There are dentists who place importance on making themselves even better by going to classes to learn new things. They are always upgrading their technology and encouraging their staff to never stop learning the art of dentistry.

It requires a lot of money for a dentist to do all this. Not every dentist does this. And no one is forcing someone like me to siphon off cash for these kind of things. However, I will still do this because it has many benefits. I can provide better treatment to clients like yourself when your dental team are up to date with the latest innovations and technology.

Another factor in pricing is that crowns are made in the dental lab. And a crown is put together from a variety of raw materials, many of which are quite innovative.

As for our clinic, we have a policy not to use cheap labs and materials. We use suppliers that cost more than many of the cheaper kinds.

It is all about the quality. Imagine using porcelain from China. Gold you can get from Tiffany's. And fusion reminds you of great jazz. On those lines, quality dental crowns would have you rushing to see me. I use only the best sources for my materials. As far as dental resources go, mine have a quality similar to Tiffany's gold, Chinese porcelain or Swiss chocolates. It may be costlier but the reasoning behind it is solid.

It is a lot better to dig deeper into your pocket on a crown that looks better, feels better, and lasts longer.

In addition, the crown work is performed by me, a Richmond dentist who knows that you are putting your trust in me. I am constantly enhancing my knowledge and finding better equipment for your benefit.

That's not all. More than anything is the trust I enjoy from my customers.

The kind of work I do makes for a great relationship.

I keep telling this to my customers. My customers are the experts at who is good and who is not. If you can see that I know what I'm doing and show I care, we can enjoy a strong and trustworthy dentist-patient relationship. This means you can receive the best treatment I can give you.

Now, dental crowns cost anywhere from $600 to $2000. This could go even higher.

There are crowns that have metal as one of their components, and you also get crowns made entirely of ceramic. The metal crowns probably have a longer lifespan. However, that doesn't stop people from choosing ceramic crowns, but it depends upon the individual. If you put your teeth under a lot of pressure, you need sturdy crowns and crowns of all ceramic may not be that beneficial.

You could spend less on lower-quality crowns. You may think you are getting a better deal by opting for inexpensive crowns.

Of course, you would have saved a pile of money. However, your new crowns won't give you the dependability you seek, in terms of durability, look and feel. They may be done with lower cost materials, by those who prefer make crowns in quantity rather than quality.

I've just given you a simple outline about the nature of crowns. Hopefully, you now understand the differences in the cost of dental crowns here in Richmond.
