If you saw the series Mad Men that was on AMC recently, you will remember January Jones who played Don Draper's wife, Betty. And yes that is her real name.

Ms. Jones may or may not have Richmond porcelain veneers. She is a gorgeous woman with a beautiful smile as you can see from any of her photos. Ms. Jones is from South Dakota and once worked at Dairy Queen. An All American lady and elegant as well as a fine actress.

You can see what a fantastic effect having good teeth and a great smile make on Ms. Jones. She might have had Richmond porcelain veneers for all I know, although she has never been a patient of mine. She might have had a Richmond smile makeover for that matter, but again, not from me. I have and do work with some well known people.

My favorite patients are folks who want to have good dental health and who care about their smile. Dentistry can be either restorative, or cosmetic. Sometimes both. I do both. The first concern I have is for your health. The second concern is equally important and that is appearance. But the two go hand in hand.

I do a lot of porcelain veneers in my office here in Richmond, and when I do them I try to remove very little natural tooth material. The reason is to make sure your teeth are as strong and sound as they were before you had the veneers. And if you ever change your mind or want them removed, you can. I never want to compromise due to cosmetics. But you are the patient and you make the call.
